Company History

In February 1982, Steven Lancia, at 19 years started  in the manufacturing business with very little experience but a lot of desire, and  named it Foam Technology.. Steven's father, Rocco Lancia, originally conceived a company  called Lance MFG inc, in 1975 as a pallet and skid manufacturer in Scituate ,R.I, for clients like Narragansett Brewery, and Ballantine Beer.  In the late 70s, Rocco Lancia started fabricating eps foam as packaging inserts, based on a friends business in New York, in a factory in Olneyville.. The business was growing when In the summer of 1981 a five-alarm fire destroyed the company, the building,  and claimed the life of his father Rocco P. Lancia ,  A year  after this tragedy Steven decided to carry the vision that his dad had, and moved forward to build a company where people and quality-products came first, treating customers like family.

The company Foam technology had name changes, and corporate expansion, to grow with the many sectors of products it manufactured. Within Time, a diverse product line was developed with manufacturing technology, including, Architectural products, foam packaging, theme parks, Casino themed interiors, RF Concealment products, retail store products, 3D Themed Signage, prefabricated homes, prefabricated exterior panel systems, and golf courses on cruise ships, soon became the future and present position of Symmetry Products, not to mention international joint ventures, and affiliate company programs worldwide. These product lines were developed utilizing not only foam technology, but also fiberglass, urethanes, epoxies, steel, wood, PCI Certified GFRC, Casting Technology, Foam Sculpture, and Computerized cutting technology.

Lance Industries International inc. has become an innovative force in many industries spanning the globe with joint ventures in China and technology transfers in South Africa, Philippines, Canada, Brazil, Poland, Korea, with offices in Europe and Finland.

Symmetry Products Group, a division of Lance Industries International Inc., was chosen as the name of the corporate divestiture to better market and define its customers and industries.

Our factories in the US encompass 250,000 square feet and 150 employees with many manufacturing departments.
